Police received 911 calls regarding the assault around 8:50 p.m., Sunday, May 19, said Bridgeport Police Spokesman Terron Jones.
Police were dispatched immediately to the scene of 732 Noble Ave, where the victim was assaulted, he said.
Once police were on scene, AMR brought the victim to Bridgeport Hospital where he later died, Jones said.
"The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time as the medical examiner conducted an autopsy this morning and concluded the cause of death to be a homicide," he said.
The Detective Bureau is actively investigating this incident and will release the victim's identification soon.
